Mama's Boy

Micah is mama's boy to the "n"th degree.

No one but me will do. If he sees me it is all over, screaming fits ensue.
Sometimes it is funny to watch him screaming his bloody head off in daddy's arms, just for me to take him into my arms and watch his scream fest come to a screeching halt instantly. Followed by shooting daggers at daddy for even thinking it was ok to hold him.
Or when he is playing happily with daddy or anyone really and then he sees me, shoot even hears my voice and then goes ballistic, until I "rescue" him.
This kid would crawl over hot coals to get to me.

Trying to climb the stairs to get to me, because he heard my voice.

However, most days it is draining. He demands for me to hold him, while standing, not sitting. I have never experienced anything like this. It is hard. Take yesterday; Lo was sick, she wanted love and snuggles {she NEVER wants love and snuggles} so I wanted to jump on that bandwagon and cuddle her, but it was hard with Micah screaming his head off in his room. What's a mommy to do?! I did my best to split my time, it was all I could do.
Having a baby changes everything.

"Jumpy Squirrel...

get out of my bird feeder!"

We hear this a lot.

A few weeks ago Lo and I made a bird feeder for the back yard. It took some time, but we now have lots of birds and a squirrel that frequent it.
The first day it was up the squirrel was there jumping around the tree trying to figure out how to get the food. The next morning he succeeded as I saw his bushy tail swinging from the bird feeder as he happily ate. So I sent Lo out back to "yell" at him. So now every time she sees him she yells "Jumpy Squirrel get out my bird feeder!" so passionately.

Here are a few picks of our guests.
We have had a mommy and daddy red bird {Cardinal},

Blue Jays,

and of course the Jumpy Squirrel. So glad this turned out to be a fun project.

Why {Things Lo Says}

Lo is in the not so endearing as it was 2 weeks ago WHY stage.

Here is our recent conversation after she had put me through a very grueling round of whys:

Lo: bye mommy, I go outside.
Mommy: why? :)
Lo: ::looks me square in the eyes:: no.
Mommy: ::thinks why can she just say "no" so innocently, like she doesn't have to answer my why?! so rude:: WHY!
Lo: no. because I two.
