Tony Danza {pt2}

Yep. That is never going to stop being funny to me.
Simply because my entire life is a FRIENDS reference.

Lo had the best month in dance sort of.

Sort of because we never had a consistent teacher, one day we were stood up by a teacher and on the last day after I already signed her back up for December I find out the dance coordinator up and quit. Ok so those were my hang-ups, but she didn't seem to notice or mind.

Here she is dancing her heart out. She does seem to have way more rhythm than I do. Yay, she got Auntie Meg genes! ;)

I see a little Kate Hudson {in Glee} here.

Due to the dance program being put on hiatus we switched back to gymnastics. I bumped her up a class level since she has been doing this since she was18 months old...time to be pushed a tad more. She loves her new "green" book class and does so well. She even learned a cartwheel...mostly. At least she has the basic premise down. I taught all these classes once a upon a time and let me tell you I had 7 year olds who were not even this close. She gets that from me. :) I was born doing cartwheels. :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Abruptly moving on with no segway. :)
I didn't get any pics of Lo that night, but my littlest sister Meg IS a dancer. We went to her dance recital and Lo was just mesmerized by it all. They had hip hop, modern, ballet, jazz and so forth. Lo kept whispering "Mommy, I want to dance!"  Bless her heart you could just see the music and rhythm in her dying to get out!
So below I am sharing my sister's dance video I took. Please enjoy my commentary as I am literally blown away by her. I am not exactly sure who her parents are, mom insist Meg got her moves from her because she use to be on drill team, but let's get real I have never seen my mom move like this!
Meg, is stage left {house right} and looks just like me. :)
It will be fun to see what path(s) Lo chooses in life for her outlet.
Christmas Photos 2012 {The Outakes}
Well I am on a photo deadline for the calendars I make each year for the GPs as gifts...yep, they know they are getting them so why bother keeping up the rouse. ;)
Taking pics of my kids Micah is like pulling teeth without the Novocaine. I figured I could do it by myself seeing as how I am a grown woman and have been trusted to keep the kids alive and fed all day, so the simple task of photo taking should be easy breezy.
Yeah Right...
Lo: Micah, sit here PLEAASE so we can get back to Care Bears.
Did we get it mommy?
MW: So you want me to do what exactly? Sit here and smile?! BAHAHA. Not going to happen mom.
Lo: Just take the dang picture my face is hurting.
Mom: Ok floor isn't working let's try the rocking chair.
MW: yeah, pretty sure that isn't going to work for me...
Lo: Seriously, just smile MW it isn't that hard...care bears is going to be over soon!
Lo: FINE! Micah sit on my lap and let's do this.
MW: pre-tty sure I don't like this. Can I watch Deigo now?!
Mom: NO! Now that's it. MW you are going to time out if you don't co-operate.
 MW goes to time out...tears ensue.
All the while Lo being the good child showed him how it was done.
Do you ever have moments you just look at your baby and think gosh I am unconditionally and irrevocably in LOVE with you. I mean obviously you love them like that, but just to have it wash over you...that is what I think when I see these pics.
MW: Worse day of  my life what do you think?
Lo: Are you done crying about it then? Can we pAlease do this now?!
MW: sniffs.
 Lo: I love you buddy.
Mom: Let's dance and get happy!
Mom: Let's try the chair again.
Lo: I am bored.
Lo: my turn to be goofy.
MW: Yep, not going to happen mom. I am just going to sit here now.
Lo: mom, I am done smiling. Can I watch Care Bears now?!
Mom: Forget it. Guess I will wait for daddy.
Daddy arrives home and in 6 shots this is what I got...seriously! Why do I even bother. HA!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Izzy
Meet our Elf Izzy.
Named in honor of, bet you can't guess...go on try!
Dang it, you got it. HA! I mean how did you know my kids were obsessed with Jake and the NLP?! ;)
He isn't your typical "elf on shelf," mostly because Chad was scared of the other one. HA! I personally like the vintage look but what are you going to do when your spouse's good taste ended after he chose me. :)
ANYWAY!
Here are some things Izzy has been up to. Now I don't really subscribe to the whole naughty elf thing. I don't get it, why does the elf get to be naughty but not the kids?! Guess I missed a memo on that...so Izzy just pops around the house and does a few mild tricks.
{Reading to the Nativity a book about Eve.}
 {Feeding the Reindeer MW's potty chocolate chips}
 {This particular day he turned our milk "go-go" colors aka purple}
Lo thought this was hoot! I made sure Chad would drink it if we did it, I didn't want to waste $3.5 gallon milk.
 Through out the day he just pops around the house...needs to keep a good eye on them to make sure his report to Santa is complete. ;)
 {On a breakfast date with Sally, candle lit and all!}
 {Hangin' around--ps excuse my boring and ugly curtains--I guess I really don't like green that much! HA!}
 {This was actually the first morning, overlooking breakfast.}
 {Scaling the cabinets}
 {Replaced our stockings with our real socks...oh how funny she thought that was!!!} Even our neighbor girl who is 8 was in complete disbelief!
 {Stealing MW's toothbrush}
 {Drinking syrup, because Elf's run on syrup and sugar, part of their major food group!}
 {As a treat for being good last week Izzy paid for them to rent a Jake and the NLP episode on roku/amazon prime...I appreciated it because it was better than candy! ;) }
So there you have it Izzy's antics.
Lo loves looking for him and always asks about him when we are out and about. Shoot even my 21 year old sister asks about him. Not kidding she is pretty into him, just sayin'.
He really is fun although, my idea list is getting short and we still have 20ish days to go.
Ideas anyone?!
I love Christmas traditions that inspire the magic and imagination of Christmas. These are the sort of things that make the memories more so than some toy I spend $50 on only to sell in my next garage sale for $8.
What do you do for Christmas fun?!
