Brain Dump {aka 5 minute or more Friday}

Oh my goodness I am tired. In my last post I talked about "turning up my doing dial." Well, someone PLEASE come turn it off!! I am so ADHD-OCD it isn't even funny. I can't stop. Everywhere I look I see a project that needs to be completed. Of course I start said project and wonder off to put something up and find something else to start on then of course my OCD comes out and I can't go to bed without making sure everything is done so on it goes.
Projects currently being focused on:
1. Curtains (I am literally losing sleep over these) I am obessing about fabric, pattern, style, length, colors, you name it.
2. Kids' consignment sale that is next week. Thankfully I was on the ball from the fall and have somewhat kept up on the tagging, but as I was cleaning out my storage room/dump zone I found a bunch of baby toys/bottles and cups that need to be tagged and bagged.
3. Oh so then there is the storage room clean up which leads me to the
4. Great garage sale project. You should see our basement guest room. No one is allowed to stay the night here currently unless they want the playroom floor...oh wait...that needs help too! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I need an intervention.

We did make it outside yesterday for 3 hours! It was gorgeous; today not so much.

I am also "actively" seeking pre-k for Lo. Seriously can not believe she is old enough for that already. I know most of you put kids in pre-k for the "socialization" aspect of it because you all are these super educational fun moms and your kids were born singing the ABCs because that is all they heard from 16w gestation on...well, mine not so much. She has socialization DOWN!! This girl has got to get some learning in her! I am very worried she is going to be WAY behind when she hits Kindergarten. Chad's a teacher and they keep talking about how what they are teaching 5th graders now is what they want 3rd graders to know in a few years time, or something like that. Well, crap that means she should know long division by Kindergarten and I can't even get her to count to 12! HA! {Obviously, a little exaggerated on the long division front...I hope?!} Chad isn't worried about her, just me. He thinks I am nuts and that she is smart. The problem is I am confident she is smart, she just has no desire to show it, she would rather be a class clown. Laugh it up daddy, because you will be the one they will call when she is acting up.

On another un-related note. I have this mega annoying ear pain. I feel like a 6 year old with an ear infection. Only problem is I don't HAVE an ear infection. I have been to the doctor and an ENT specialist, sat in a hearing booth for 3 minutes, where I was found to have bat ears {aka mommy ears}, but no infection. They keep putting me on drugs and nothing helps. Pretty sure I have a brain tumor and it just referral pain, but no one knows it. {I tend to get a tad dramatic when in lots of pain...}, but it could be true, you don't know. Oh and did I mention this has been going on for 1 month now. Yeah, pretty awesome.

Well there is my brain dump for Friday. I already have big plans for the weekend. Of the project variety unless someone intervenes...

Nothing of Importance {Read at your own risk}

I feel like I just need to write.
I have a bazillon things swimming around in my head and I hardly know which way is up.
I am struggling with the whole "be Still and know I am God." I want to be still God, I just can't! It's a disease. This Sunday at church we finished up our sermon series on end times. It was amazing. I love how our pastor can bring it. He spoke about Heaven. How often do we think that here on Earth is better than Heaven? Guilty. But after days on end of this busy season, I am so ready for Jesus' return. Can you imagine a life of peace?! Yeah, me neither. I am ready though. Are you?

Adding to this hustle bustle time is the hustle bustle of Christmas knocking at our doors. I may be one of the few that hates Christmas. I love the "reason for the season" {Jesus being sent here on a rescue mission to save our souls}, but we get so far away from that; constantly worrying about what sweater to buy mom. However, it is hard not to love a time that brings pure joy and excitement to your child's face. This is a magical year for Lo. She is old enough to understand Christmas, yet young enough to enjoy the magic that accompanies it. I just want to teach her about giving back to others. Last weekend she helped me pick out things for our Operation Christmas Child Box, our MOPs group was doing. I was proud of her for not asking for things for herself, but rather trying to help me.
Oh, and in case you didn't know Christmas is 6 weeks away and 9 weeks from now my baby bear turns the big ONE! Already stressing about his First Birthday party, not to mention Lo's birthday is mere weeks after that!

Up next on this crazy thought train is my pig pen of a house! I mean seriously. I want to clean it but as I found so amusing on pinterest the other day:

Pretty much sums it up. Not to mention even if I attempt cleaning someone ::ahem Micah:: needs me to hold him, or Lo falls down and gets hurt for the millionth time that day. Ah a mother's work.

And of course then there is pinterest showing me what a complete failure I am at doing and accomplishing anything during the day. What lovely ideas and perfect homes these people have, but I guess I live in the real world. {On a side note though I have done a few of the ideas which is probably why I keep going back for more.}

Finally, I am weaning Micah. I am so ready, but then every time I go to pull the plug I find myself nursing him "one more time." This is making me a hormonal nut case all by itself. True story weaning can cause severe mood swings. Look it up.

Well, I can see this quick 10 minute post has derailed. And you all are probably now dumber for reading. But it felt good to get off my chest and my head hurts just a bit less. :)
